    Gesticht in 1996, is Bodega Baigorri een van de meest gerenommeerde producenten in Rioja. De wijngaarden zijn verdeeld in vele kleine percelen op de terrasvormige heuvelhellingen, stroomopwaarts van de rivier de Ebro. Afhankelijk van de oriëntatie van de wijngaard en de samenstelling van de bodem profiteren ze van een specifiek microklimaat dat wijnen met een uniek karakter verfijnt. De moderne kelder is zo ontworpen dat de druiven uitsluitend door de zwaartekracht worden getransporteerd, zonder pomp. De architectonische stijl fascineert door zijn ongelooflijke functionaliteit.

    De Tempranillo druiven zijn afkomstig van verschillende percelen op klei-kalksteen bodem, gelegen in San Vicente de la Sonsierra. De meer dan 40 jaar oude wijnstokken hier produceren de Baigorri Reserva die een lage opbrengst en een uitstekende fruitkwaliteit garanderen.

    De wijn heeft een intense robijnrode kleur met violette reflecties. In de neus is het aromatische profiel complex en komen intense aroma's van zwarte en blauwe bessen vrij, gevolgd door tonen van bittere chocolade en kersenlikeur. Er zijn ook zachte tonen van geroosterde mokkabonen, kaneel, gekarameliseerde noten en een snufje tabak. In de mond is hij zacht, geconcentreerd en fluweelachtig met intense fruitigheid en een levendige frisheid. Het is een heerlijke begeleider van ossenhaas, gestoofde schenkel of lamskoteletten. Hij kan ook worden geserveerd bij wild- of ossenstaartgerechten.
