Het aankoopproces en de productkeuze zijn goed, maar de bezorgservice met UPS is ellendig. Ik zal helaas niet meer kopen vanwege de bezorging door UPS die zich nooit aan datum/tijd houdt en een vals excuus geeft dat ze afwezig zijn terwijl ik er was en een vrije dag heb genomen om er te zijn.

    Zinfandel Wijnen

    Zinfandel wijnen

    Zinfandel rode wijnen zijn meestal groot en krachtig met veel intense bramen-, pruimen-, zwarte kersen- en bosbessensmaken. Zinfandel wijnen hebben over het algemeen matige tannines, een hoge zuurgraad en een hoog alcoholpercentage van 14-17% ABV. Deze wijnen rijpen vaak lang in eikenhouten vaten om de alcohol en de tannines volledig te integreren. De Zinfandeldruif wordt ook gebruikt om zoete roséwijnen te maken, bekend als White Zinfandel, die in sommige gebieden van Californië populair zijn.

    Voornaamste Zinfandel wijngebieden

    De beroemdste regio voor Zinfandel is Californië, waar de subregio's Napa Valley, Dry Creek Valley, Russian River Valley en Lodi allemaal uitstekende Zinfandel wijnen produceren. Zinfandel komt ook voor in de regio Puglia in Zuid-Italië, waar hij bekend staat als Primitivo.

    Zinfandel bij het eten

    Met hun intense smaakprofiel passen krachtige rode Zinfandel wijnen goed bij stevige rode vleesgerechten zoals gebarbecuede ribbetjes, runderkebabs, gestoofd rundvlees of rijke wildstoofpotten. Andere goede opties zijn pittig gebraden lamsvlees, pastagerechten op basis van tomaten of gerijpte harde kazen.
