Het landgoed Tzora ligt hoog in de Judeese heuvels en wordt algemeen beschouwd als een van de beste moderne wijnhuizen van Israël. Hoewel hier al meer dan 5000 jaar wijn wordt gemaakt, zijn de afgelopen decennia innovatieve wijnmakers begonnen om de wijnindustrie hier nieuw leven in te blazen, door het potentieel te benutten van het zachte mediterrane klimaat in de Judeaanse heuvels en de hoge ligging waardoor de druiven hun frisheid behouden.

Tzora's Shoresh wijn wordt gemaakt in samenwerking met de heer Jean-Claude Berrouet, die voorheen technisch directeur was bij Chateau Pétrus. De druiven komen zorgvuldig van de Shoresh wijngaard van het landgoed, waar de rotsachtige bodem een uitdagende omgeving vormt voor de Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon en Petit Verdot wijnstokken. Dit dwingt hen tot lagere opbrengsten van intenser geconcentreerde en smaakvolle druiven, die op hun beurt deze opmerkelijke wijn opleveren.

Na de gisting rijpt de wijn 16 maanden in Franse eiken vaten om de verschillende componenten van de rassen volledig te integreren en de uiteindelijke wijn extra complexiteit te geven. Het resultaat is een zeer gepolijste rode wijn in oude wereldstijl die zich de komende tien jaar nog verder zal ontwikkelen.
