Het aankoopproces en de productkeuze zijn goed, maar de bezorgservice met UPS is ellendig. Ik zal helaas niet meer kopen vanwege de bezorging door UPS die zich nooit aan datum/tijd houdt en een vals excuus geeft dat ze afwezig zijn terwijl ik er was en een vrije dag heb genomen om er te zijn.

    Tony Bish is een van de meest toegewijde producenten van Chardonnay ter wereld. De afgelopen 30 jaar heeft hij de Bourgondische druif voortdurend opnieuw uitgevonden, wat leidde tot de oprichting van zijn wijnhuis, Tony Bish Wines, in 2013.

    Het hoofdkantoor van Tony Bish Wines bevindt zich in Hawkes Bay en herbergt de enige eivormige gistingsvaten in Nieuw-Zeeland. Het is een ongebruikelijke methode die Tony in Zuid-Amerika heeft opgepikt en die zorgt voor meer interactie tussen gist en wijn en minimale menselijke tussenkomst. Het begon met betonnen eieren, maar deze Zen Chardonnay is de eerste die uit iets anders komt, genaamd "The Ovum". Dit is een gigantisch, eivormig Frans eikenhouten gistingsvat, gemaakt door Taransaud en het eerste in zijn soort op het zuidelijk halfrond.

    De Zen Chardonnay is de ultra-premium wijn van Tony Bish, boordevol aroma's van citroenschil, perzik, geroosterde hazelnoten en zacht beboterd brood. Het gehemelte is gedetailleerd, met subtiele kruiden, zuiver fruit en een verheffende zuurgraad. Hij is perfect voor Chardonnay liefhebbers die een briljante en volstrekt unieke expressie van de druif willen proeven. Combineer hem met zeevruchten, zoals kreeft of zalm, of risotto met butternutpompoen.
