    Het aankoopproces en de productkeuze zijn goed, maar de bezorgservice met UPS is ellendig. Ik zal helaas niet meer kopen vanwege de bezorging door UPS die zich nooit aan datum/tijd houdt en een vals excuus geeft dat ze afwezig zijn terwijl ik er was en een vrije dag heb genomen om er te zijn.

    De Tiko Estate is een jong familiebedrijf dat in 2017 is opgericht. De naam van het bedrijf is een eerbetoon aan de moeder van de eigenaren, Levan en Georgi Chychynadez, die na jaren in het buitenland, nog steeds werkzaam in de wijnsector, besloten hun eigen bedrijf te openen. Het bedrijf, dat wordt beschouwd als een van de meest veelbelovende opkomende wijnmakerijen van het land, produceert Georgische wijnen van uitstekende kwaliteit met behulp van inheemse wijnstokken en traditionele wijnbereidingsmethoden.

    Rkatsiteli-druiven, afkomstig van wijngaarden in de wijnregio Kakheti, worden in hun geheel geperst. De gisting vindt plaats in barriques van Frans eikenhout (waarvan een derde nieuw) en de afgewerkte wijn rijpt 10 maanden op de gisten (deels in barriques en deels in staal), voordat hij licht wordt gefilterd en gebotteld.

    De wijn heeft een heldere citroengele kleur. Het aromatische profiel is fris en geurig met tonen van steenfruit (vooral nectarine en witte perzik), meloen, ananas en grapefruit, met wat lichte hints van eikenhout. In de mond is hij zacht en aangenaam romig dankzij de rijping op droesem. De zuurgraad is aangenaam en goed in balans en de afdronk is vrij lang en heerlijk fruitig. Deze wijn past uitstekend bij romige citroenpasta's, schelpdieren of mediterrane recepten.
