The Prisoner Wine Company geniet een cultstatus dankzij hun visie en buitenissige houding, waarbij ze erop staan de dingen anders te doen dan alle andere Californische wijnhuizen. Ze werken nauw samen met partnerboeren in enkele van de beste regio's van Noord-Californië om uitzonderlijke wijnen te maken met een eigenzinnige persoonlijkheid.

Deze betoverende Chardonnay is gemaakt volgens dezelfde ethiek als hun beroemde The Prisoner Red Blend. Het is een spannende combinatie van Chardonnay, Roussanne en Gewurztraminer, drie druivensoorten die nog nooit eerder voor commerciële doeleinden zijn samengevoegd. Het fruit is afkomstig uit de Carneros regio in Californië, waar de nabijheid van de oceaan helpt om veel frisheid en delicate aroma's te behouden ondanks de hete zomerdagen.

De neus barst van de rijpe ananas, groene appel en vanilletonen, terwijl de eerste slok de heerlijke frisheid, boomgaardfruit smaken en hints van kruiden en toast introduceert die lang op de tong blijven hangen. Het ideale evenwicht en de levendigheid van deze wijn maken hem tot een uitstekende optie om nog een paar jaar te bewaren of om nu van te genieten naast romige kazen, gebakken vis zoals heilbot of zeebaars, of zelfs een sandwich met gegrilde kaas.
