    Ongebruikelijk voor Israël produceert het wijnhuis Sphera alleen witte wijnen. De oprichter van Sphera, Doron Rav Hon, studeerde wijnmaken in Bourgondië, waar hij verliefd werd op de wereldberoemde witte wijnen uit die streek. Samen met zijn vrouw Sima, die de exploitatie van het wijnhuis leidt, creëerde Doron Sphera in de Israëlische Judean Hills om te bewijzen dat dit oude wijnland in staat is om zijn eigen sensationele witte wijnen te maken.

    De wijngaarden van het landgoed zijn aangeplant in de valleien van Givat Yeshayahu, waar een ideaal microklimaat heerst voor de productie van witte topwijnen. Koele briesjes waaien consequent door de vallei, zelfs op hete zomerdagen, en koude lucht zakt 's nachts naar de valleibodem, wat helpt om veel frisheid en aroma's in de druiven te houden.

    Deze prachtige witte blend bestaat voornamelijk uit Semillon samen met Roussanne en Chenin Blanc. De wijnstokken zijn geplant langs de Shua rivier op een mengsel van alluviale, kalksteen en terra rossa of "rode grond". Deze helpen een subtiel vleugje mineraliteit toe te voegen aan de rijke tonen van tropisch fruit en citrusvruchten die de neus en het gehemelte domineren. De afdronk is zuiver en aromatisch met hints van kamperfoelie en rozenblaadjes, waardoor het een geweldig aperitief is of een partner voor delicate sushi, salades, vis- of zeevruchtengerechten.
