Het aankoopproces en de productkeuze zijn goed, maar de bezorgservice met UPS is ellendig. Ik zal helaas niet meer kopen vanwege de bezorging door UPS die zich nooit aan datum/tijd houdt en een vals excuus geeft dat ze afwezig zijn terwijl ik er was en een vrije dag heb genomen om er te zijn.

    Revolution is een stijlvolle, droge rode wijn uit Georgië, met harmonieuze geuren van pruimen, zure kersen, kaneel, tabaksrook en aards leer. Hij is gemaakt van 100% Saperavi, afkomstig van het 0,2 hectare grote perceel van Solomnishvili Winery in het hart van de Kakheti regio. Voor de release rijpte hij 18 maanden in Franse eiken vaten.

    Solomnishvili is een boetiekfamiliebedrijf dat bekend staat om zijn kleinschalige productie van hoge kwaliteit. Het wordt geleid door de gewaardeerde wijnmaker Giorgi Solomnishvili, die de wijngaarden van de familie met de hand bewerkt. Het ligt in de vruchtbare Alazani-riviervlakte, in de stad Telavi, de wijnhoofdstad van Georgië. De familie Solomnishvili hanteert een pretentieloze aanpak bij het wijnmaken - Giorgi's wijnen zijn van topklasse, maar hij houdt gastronomisch genot altijd in gedachten.

    Revolution begint met een explosie van zwart en rood fruit - sappige kersen vermengen zich met tonen van pruimen en een achtergrond van cacao, zwarte peper en zoethout. De tannines zijn stevig maar gepolijst en een ader van levendige zuurgraad leidt de ervaring naar een lange, kruidige afdronk. Over het geheel genomen is het een fluweelzachte, soepel drinkende wijn, ideaal om te combineren met lamsshashlik, runderstoofpot of gerijpte kaas.
