Het aankoopproces en de productkeuze zijn goed, maar de bezorgservice met UPS is ellendig. Ik zal helaas niet meer kopen vanwege de bezorging door UPS die zich nooit aan datum/tijd houdt en een vals excuus geeft dat ze afwezig zijn terwijl ik er was en een vrije dag heb genomen om er te zijn.

    Gelegen in de Spaanse stad San Vicente de la Sonsierra, is Señorío de San Vicente een label van de familie Eguren dat slechts één wijn omvat. Het project werd geboren uit de wens om een bijna uitgestorven variëteit van Tempranillo terug te krijgen en een wijn van één wijngaard te maken.

    Deze prachtige wijn uit de Rioja regio is gemaakt met 100% Tempranillo Peludo (zo genoemd vanwege de karakteristieke haren op het onderste deel van het blad), een bijna uitgestorven ras dat oorspronkelijk uit Rioja Sonsierra komt. De druiven worden handmatig geselecteerd en geoogst in de 18 hectare grote wijngaard Finca La Canoca, die profiteert van continentale klimaatinvloeden en kalkhoudende kleigrond. Na de vinificatie rust de afgewerkte wijn 20 maanden in eikenhouten vaten.

    Senorio de San Vicente San Vicente heeft een granaatkleur en een elegant en breed aromatisch profiel. In de neus onthult hij geurige tonen van rood fruit en zoethout, gevolgd door geroosterde en balsamico toetsen. In de mond is hij smakelijk en geconcentreerd, rond en krachtig. Het is een zeer evenwichtige wijn met een goede ader van frisheid en een lange en elegante afdronk die doet denken aan lichtgeroosterde aroma's. Probeer hem bij lamsvlees of bij kazen van gemiddelde leeftijd.
