    Rijk's Wine Estate is opgericht in 1996, in het kleine stadje Tulbagh vlakbij de Zuid-Afrikaanse kust. Het is een familiebedrijf, opgericht door Neville Dorrington, die het onaangeboorde potentieel van "Land Van Waveren" herkende, een majestueus bergbekken in het hart van de Kaapse Wijnlanden.

    Sinds 2022 is Adriaan Jacobs de hoofd-wijnmaker bij Rijk's en houdt hij toezicht op het verbluffende assortiment klassieke Zuid-Afrikaanse wijn. Het Reserve-assortiment wordt uitsluitend gemaakt van de oudste wijnstokken op de boerderij en de beste vaten van elk jaar. De Pinotage is rijk robijnrood en vertoont een diepe mengeling van aroma's van donker fruit, ondersteund door hints van witte peper, wrange framboos en cacao.

    Deze wijn bestaat voor 100% uit Pinotage en heeft een krachtig mondgevoel en zijdezachte, precieze tannines. In de mond ontdek je weelderige fruitige smaken van cassis, bosbessen en rode kersen, met hints van elegante kruiden, eikenhout en leer. De Reserve Pinotage is een blend van de 20 beste vaten in Rijk's kelder, na 22 maanden rijping op Frans eiken. Denk eens aan een combinatie met gerechten met rood vlees, zoals lamsvlees met kruidenkorst, wild of een pasta op basis van rode wijn.
