Het aankoopproces en de productkeuze zijn goed, maar de bezorgservice met UPS is ellendig. Ik zal helaas niet meer kopen vanwege de bezorging door UPS die zich nooit aan datum/tijd houdt en een vals excuus geeft dat ze afwezig zijn terwijl ik er was en een vrije dag heb genomen om er te zijn.

    De jonge Baskische wijnmaker Oxer Bastegieta richtte zijn eigen wijnmakerij op in Laguardia in de Rioja wijnregio terwijl hij Txakoli bleef produceren in de familiekelder. Hier, in de buurt van Kortezubi, bewerkt Oxer 5 hectare biologische wijngaarden met eeuwenoude planten, waar hij de inheemse Hondarribi Zuri, Hondarribi Zuri Zerratie en Iztiriota ttipia wijnstokken verbouwt. In de kelder geeft hij de voorkeur aan een filosofie van minimale interventie om de wijnstokken en de terroirs maximaal tot hun recht te laten komen.

    Marko Gure Arbasoak is een atypische witte Txakoli wijn, dankzij zijn buitengewone rijpingspotentieel. De druiven worden handmatig geselecteerd en geoogst van wijngaarden in Vizcaya vlakbij de kust, op klei-kalksteen bodems. De gisting vindt gedeeltelijk plaats in roestvrijstalen tanks en gedeeltelijk in foudres, en de afgewerkte wijn rust 7 maanden in foudres op de droesem voordat hij wordt gebotteld.

    De wijn onthult een fruitig en rijp aromatisch profiel met tonen van appel en peer en wat florale en rokerige hints. In de mond is hij romig en complex met een goed uitgebalanceerde zuurgraad en een lange en minerale afdronk. Het is een elegante wijn die goed kan ouderen en heerlijk combineert met vette vis en zeevruchten.
