    Deze Chardonnay blend introduceert vijf overwegend Franse variëteiten om een unieke wijn te creëren die anders is dan alle andere die in Californië worden gemaakt. De wijnmaker bedacht deze wijn oorspronkelijk als een witte blend, maar Chardonnay uit Carneros en Sonoma Valley werd het dominante ras. Uit deze regio's haalt de wijnmaker Chardonnay van bijzonder koele klimaatwijngaarden om de beste druiven in een van de beste Chardonnay teeltgebieden ter wereld tot hun recht te laten komen.

    In het glas heeft de wijn een bleke strokleur en komen aroma's vrij van granny smith appel, gepocheerde peer, jasmijn en oranjebloesem. Bij het proeven maken een assertief mondgevoel en opvallende zuren plaats voor lagen kamperfoelie, witte perzik en mandarijn. De wijn is gerijpt in 40% nieuw Frans eikenhout en heeft negen maanden sur lie gerijpt. Hierdoor komen heerlijke bakkruiden en crème brulee tonen naar voren en een bedwelmend romig mondgevoel.

    De levendige zuren en het weelderige mondgevoel maken dit een perfecte begeleider van assertieve en scherpe kazen.

    Orin Swift Cellars is eigendom van en wordt gerund door David Swift Phinney. Nadat hij verliefd werd op wijn tijdens een reis naar Florence, Italië, werkte hij als tijdelijke oogster voor Robert Mondavi Winery voordat hij in 1998 Orin Swift Cellars begon. Orin komt van de middelste naam van zijn vader, terwijl Swift de meisjesnaam van zijn moeder is.
