    Het aankoopproces en de productkeuze zijn goed, maar de bezorgservice met UPS is ellendig. Ik zal helaas niet meer kopen vanwege de bezorging door UPS die zich nooit aan datum/tijd houdt en een vals excuus geeft dat ze afwezig zijn terwijl ik er was en een vrije dag heb genomen om er te zijn.

    Terre Alte is de beroemdste wijn van het iconische Livio Felluga landgoed. De wijn werd voor het eerst geproduceerd in 1981 en hielp een wereldwijde reputatie te vestigen voor Italiaanse witte wijnen en blijft tot op de dag van vandaag een van de meest authentieke en indrukwekkende wijnen van Friuli. De blend is samengesteld uit Friulano, Pinot Bianco en Sauvignon Blanc, afkomstig van de gewaardeerde Rosazzo wijngaarden van de familie Felluga, die eind september worden geoogst.

    Na de oogst worden de druiven apart gevinifieerd, waarbij de Pinot Bianco en de Sauvignon Blanc worden vergist in roestvrijstalen tanks, waar ze nog eens 10 maanden blijven rijpen. De Friulano, afkomstig uit de regio Friuli, wordt vergist en rijpt vervolgens 10 maanden in kleine Franse eikenhouten vaten. De uiteindelijke blend wordt dan bepaald en de wijn wordt gebotteld en rijpt dan nog eens 9 maanden in de fles.

    Dit langdurige vinificatieproces geeft de Terre Alte zijn unieke smaakprofiel dat zowel goed gestructureerd als afgerond is in de mond, met een heldere zuurgraad en delicate fruit- en bloemenaroma's. In de neus zijn er intense aroma's van jasmijn, acaciabloesem, rijpe perzik en hints van passievrucht, terwijl het gehemelte doet denken aan crème brûlé, boterachtige croissants, vanille en gekonfijte amandelen.
