    Het aankoopproces en de productkeuze zijn goed, maar de bezorgservice met UPS is ellendig. Ik zal helaas niet meer kopen vanwege de bezorging door UPS die zich nooit aan datum/tijd houdt en een vals excuus geeft dat ze afwezig zijn terwijl ik er was en een vrije dag heb genomen om er te zijn.

    Met een wijnbouwgeschiedenis die zo'n 8000 jaar teruggaat, wordt het land Georgië onder wijnliefhebbers beschouwd als een verborgen geheim vanwege zijn uitstekende natuurlijke wijnen. Eko Glonti werkte eerst als arts en daarna als geoloog voordat hij op 49-jarige leeftijd zijn passie voor wijnmaken ontdekte. Hij richtte het wijnhuis Lagvinari op in het belangrijkste wijnbouwgebied van Georgië en maakte in 2011 zijn eerste oogst in samenwerking met de beroemde natuurwijnschrijfster Isabelle Legeron.

    Tsolikouri is een inheemse Georgische druivensoort die buiten het land nog weinig bekend is. Deze karaktervolle oranje wijn wordt gemaakt door gisting en rijping in grote kleipotten of qvevri met veel huidcontact. Deze methode geeft de wijn een opvallende diepe amberkleurige tint, evenals veel tannines uit de schil van de druiven en een heerlijk complex smaakprofiel.

    In het glas merk je meteen verleidelijke hints van zoete karamel, persimmon, appel en pittige clementine. In de mond is er een royale, gemiddelde body, verfijnde tannines en een stevige kern van rijp boomgaardfruit, samen met hints van geroosterde noten, kruiden en cederhout en op de lange afdronk.
