    Vanuit een familie van wijnmakers sinds 1802 richtte Michel Gonet in 1973 zijn eigen gelijknamige champagnehuis op, met het idee zuivere en milieuvriendelijke champagnes te maken. Michel ontwikkelde het bedrijf tot het in de jaren tachtig werd uitgebreid tot 36 hectare. Tegenwoordig hebben zijn drie kinderen, Charles-Henri, Frédéric en Sophie, hem opgevolgd en zetten ze de visie van hun vader voort. Er wordt gezegd dat de familie van Michel Gonet een gave heeft om eenvoudigweg gastheer te zijn en herinneringen en vriendschappen te creëren rond hun champagnes.

    De Chardonnay-druiven voor deze Blanc de Blancs komen uit een van de beroemdste gemeenten in de Champagne, Le Mesnil sur Oger. Ze worden gevinifieerd in de Extra Brut versie, waarna de wijn 10 jaar rijpt alvorens te worden gedegorgeerd.

    De wijn is helder goudgeel van kleur en opent met complexe en gulle aroma's van steenfruit, geroosterde amandelen en citrus, maar ook vuursteen, boter en marsepein.In de mond is hij rijk en zijdeachtig, en de boterachtige tonen keren terug, vergezeld van een goede mineraliteit en een gestructureerde, intense, aanhoudende body. Perfect bij gegrild wit vlees, hoofdgerechten met zeevruchten en delicate visgerechten.
