Geschiedenis

Het nobele Chateau Suduiraut is een van de topproducenten van Sauternes, de weelderig zoete dessertwijn die de edelrotschimmel gebruikt om de smaken en suikers in de druiven te helpen intensiveren. Het oorspronkelijke kasteelgebouw, dat dicht bij het legendarische Chateau d'Yqyem ligt, dateert uit 1580 en wordt omringd door zo'n 90 hectare wijngaarden die gemiddeld 30 jaar oud zijn.

Chateau Suduiraut hanteert een traditionele benadering van wijnmaken, waarbij de wijnen 18 tot 24 maanden in Franse eiken vaten worden gevinifieerd en gerijpt, afhankelijk van de specifieke kenmerken van het oogstjaar.
