    Geschiedenis

    De Lavrenčičs kunnen hun familiegeschiedenis in de Sloveense Vipava Vallei terugvoeren tot minstens 1499, en ze maken hier al drie generaties lang wijn. Primoz Lavrenčič besloot in 2009 het wijnhuis van zijn familie te verlaten om zijn eigen project op te zetten, dat hij Burja noemde. De naam is ontleend aan de krachtige "Burja" wind die het leven in de regio bepaalt en drukt Primoz' verlangen uit om een diepe band met het land te cultiveren door wijnen te maken die geïnspireerd zijn door de natuurlijke wereld om hem heen.
