Een onvergetelijke verjaardag met DAOU & Colomé Het vieren van mijn moeders verjaardag werd nog specialer dankzij twee ongelooflijke wijnen - DAOU Cabernet Sauvignon 2021 en Colomé Auténtico Malbec 2020. De ster van de avond was ongetwijfeld de DAOU Cabernet Sauvignon. Vanaf de eerste slok werden we omarmd door een rijke, fluweelzachte smaak. De diepe aroma's van donker fruit, hints van cacao en perfect gebalanceerd eikenhout zorgden ervoor dat elk glas aanvoelde als een ware verwennerij. Hij was gedurfd en toch elegant, een wijn die moeiteloos warmte en vreugde bracht aan onze bijeenkomst. Toen ik mijn moeder elke slok met een glimlach zag proeven, was het des te gedenkwaardiger. De Colomé Auténtico Malbec leverde ook prachtig, met zijn pure expressie van hooggelegen Malbec. Hij was krachtig, met rijpe bramen, kruiden en een zachte, aanhoudende afdronk - een uitstekende aanvulling op de avond. Deze wijnen versterkten niet alleen onze maaltijd; ze werden een deel van de viering, waardoor elke toast en elk gesprek een hoogtepunt werd. Hartelijk dank aan DAOU en Colomé voor het onvergetelijk maken van deze speciale gelegenheid!

    Ghiannis Tselepos is het hart en de ziel van het Tselepos wijnhuis dat hij in 1989 oprichtte, op de hellingen van het Parnon-gebergte. Oenoloog, wijnmaker en eigenaar van het bedrijf, Yiannis maakt al meer dan 40 jaar deel uit van de wijnwereld. Hij begon zijn carrière met het bestuderen van de wijngaarden van de Arcadië regio en wordt beschouwd als verantwoordelijk voor de wedergeboorte van de Griekse wijn, met name in de Peloponnesos regio. Het bedrijf produceert een collectie voortreffelijke wijnen van lokale druivenrassen.

    De druiven ondergaan een modern technologisch vinificatieproces met voorgisting bij 10°C. Een derde van de wijn wordt vergist in roestvrijstalen tanks, een ander derde in amfora's en de rest in foudres (grote eikenhouten vaten). De wijn rijpt ongeveer 4 maanden in de luwte.

    Deze druivensoort Moschofilero is een elegante wijn met weelderige aroma's van witte bloemen, citrus en oranjebloesem. In de mond is hij rond met een volle body die harmonieus in evenwicht wordt gehouden door zijn levendige zuurgraad. Hij is intens en geurig, fris en verfijnd. Hij past ideaal bij kip, kalkoen en alle lichte en visbereidingen met citroen- of kruidige sauzen.
