    Tenet Wine Company kijkt anders naar Syrah dan andere wijnmakers doen. In de Nieuwe Wereld is Syrah vaak slechts een blender om Cabernet Sauvignon op te peppen of een overdreven jammy wijn uit warmere streken. Om het beste van zowel de Oude als de Nieuwe Wereld te vinden, omarmt de wijnmaker de fruitige kwaliteit van de druiven die in het gebied groeien, maar kijkt hij naar traditionele Zuid-Franse rassen om de wijn af te ronden. Ze passen ook unieke wijnmaakstijlen toe, zoals het experimenteren met welk percentage van de druiven wordt ontsteeld en welke als hele trossen worden vergist. Sommigen proberen af te stappen van de bramen die van stengels kunnen komen, maar de wijnmaker vindt dat het hartige element van deze methode juist een perfecte balans vormt met de Syrah.

    In het glas toont de wijn donkerpaarse en robijnrode tinten. In de neus sterke tonen van bosbessenjam met ondertonen van bramen en vlees. Het mondgevoel is soepel en zijdeachtig met de bosbes in het begin, gevolgd door tabak en wildachtige subtiliteiten.

    De donkere en rijke kwaliteit van de wijn is een heerlijke combinatie met rood vlees, vooral met wild zoals lam, eend en wild zwijn.
