Een onvergetelijke verjaardag met DAOU & Colomé Het vieren van mijn moeders verjaardag werd nog specialer dankzij twee ongelooflijke wijnen - DAOU Cabernet Sauvignon 2021 en Colomé Auténtico Malbec 2020. De ster van de avond was ongetwijfeld de DAOU Cabernet Sauvignon. Vanaf de eerste slok werden we omarmd door een rijke, fluweelzachte smaak. De diepe aroma's van donker fruit, hints van cacao en perfect gebalanceerd eikenhout zorgden ervoor dat elk glas aanvoelde als een ware verwennerij. Hij was gedurfd en toch elegant, een wijn die moeiteloos warmte en vreugde bracht aan onze bijeenkomst. Toen ik mijn moeder elke slok met een glimlach zag proeven, was het des te gedenkwaardiger. De Colomé Auténtico Malbec leverde ook prachtig, met zijn pure expressie van hooggelegen Malbec. Hij was krachtig, met rijpe bramen, kruiden en een zachte, aanhoudende afdronk - een uitstekende aanvulling op de avond. Deze wijnen versterkten niet alleen onze maaltijd; ze werden een deel van de viering, waardoor elke toast en elk gesprek een hoogtepunt werd. Hartelijk dank aan DAOU en Colomé voor het onvergetelijk maken van deze speciale gelegenheid!

    A Birthday to Remember with DAOU & Colomé Celebrating my mother’s birthday was made even more special thanks to two incredible wines—DAOU Cabernet Sauvignon 2021 and Colomé Auténtico Malbec 2020. The star of the evening was undoubtedly the DAOU Cabernet Sauvignon. From the first sip, it enveloped us in its rich, velvety embrace. The deep dark fruit flavors, hints of cocoa, and perfectly balanced oak made every glass feel like a true indulgence. It was bold yet elegant, a wine that effortlessly brought warmth and joy to our gathering. Seeing my mother savor each sip with a smile made it all the more memorable. The Colomé Auténtico Malbec also delivered beautifully, with its pure expression of high-altitude Malbec. It was powerful, with ripe blackberries, spice, and a smooth, lingering finish—an excellent complement to the evening. These wines didn’t just enhance our meal; they became part of the celebration, elevating every toast and conversation. A heartfelt thank you to DAOU and Colomé for making this special occasion truly unforgettable!

    Kan tot 9 jaar bewaard worden. Deze krachtige Bordeaux blend is voornamelijk samengesteld uit Cabernet Sauvignon en Malbec met een vleugje Syrah en Merlot. Al het fruit is afkomstig van Tapiz's San Pablo single vineyard in Mendoza's Uco Valley in de uitlopers van het Andesgebergte. Deze wijngaard ligt op 1400 meter boven zeeniveau, wat de wijn een uniek karakter geeft. Koele nachten en briesjes uit de nabijgelegen bergen zorgen voor een lange en langzame rijpingsperiode met veel complexe aroma's en frisheid in de druiven.

    Eenmaal in de wijnmakerij worden de druiven gevinifieerd en wordt een speciale selectie vaten gemaakt die voor deze specifieke wijn worden gebruikt. In de neus zijn er verleidelijke hints van koffie, donkere chocolade en geplette cassis, terwijl het goed geïntegreerde eikenhout onmiddellijk duidelijk wordt in de mond met kruiden uit een sigarenkistje en hints van vanille die zich mengen met de sappige smaken van donker fruit. De zachte tannines en de volle body maken dit een geweldige partner voor gebarbecued rood vlees, biefstuk en rosbief.

    Tapiz winery wordt algemeen erkend als de meest innovatieve en high-tech van Argentinië dankzij hun toegewijde onderzoek naar wijnbouw in samenwerking met de Universiteit van Cuyo en andere lokale organisaties. Topconsultant Jean-Claude Berrouet houdt toezicht op de wijnbereiding en werkte eerder bij Chateau Petrus in Bordeaux en Dominus in Napa Valley.
