    Herkend als een van de belangrijkste wijnmakersfamilies die tegenwoordig in Stellenbosch werken, maakt de familie Jordan wijn op hun driehonderd jaar oude boerderij sinds 1982, toen Ted en Sheelagh Jordan het landgoed kochten. Hun visionaire aanpak en inzet om in harmonie met de natuur te werken heeft rijke vruchten afgeworpen, samen met hun toewijding om te ontdekken welke rassen het beste passen bij het plaatselijke terroir.

    Het 164 hectare grote landgoed wordt tegenwoordig beheerd door de tweede generatie, vertegenwoordigd door Gary en Kathy Jordan. Het landgoed ligt dicht bij zowel de Indische als de Atlantische Oceaan, waardoor de wijngaarden genieten van een mild mediterraan klimaat, gekoeld door oceaanbriesjes. De Prospector Syrah is een intense, krachtige rode wijn die opent met tonen van donkere chocolade, pruimenjam en geplette donkere bessen. De wijn rijpt 16 maanden in Franse en Amerikaanse eiken vaten, wat de tannines verzacht en extra complexiteit geeft. Dit is een rijke rode wijn die perfect past bij gerechten met rood vlees en die ook uitstekend geschikt is om in de kelder te laten rijpen.
