Het aankoopproces en de productkeuze zijn goed, maar de bezorgservice met UPS is ellendig. Ik zal helaas niet meer kopen vanwege de bezorging door UPS die zich nooit aan datum/tijd houdt en een vals excuus geeft dat ze afwezig zijn terwijl ik er was en een vrije dag heb genomen om er te zijn.

    Deze boeiende droge Riesling opent met uitnodigende aroma's van Meyer citroenen, jasmijn en mandarijnen, terwijl het gehemelte een knapperige zuurgraad en betoverende smaken van abrikoos, witte perzik en grapefruit biedt. De levendige persoonlijkheid en zilte mineraliteit maken dit een ideale partner voor zeevruchten zoals oesters en garnalen of pittige Aziatische gerechten.

    De Framingham Classic Riesling wordt gemaakt van enkele van Nieuw-Zeelands oudste Riesling wijnstokken die dateren uit 1981, toen het landgoed werd opgericht door een ingenieur uit Wellington, Rex Brooke-Taylor. Het team selecteert druiven van verschillende percelen in de Wairau Valley in Marlborough om een momentopname te maken van de diverse smaak- en aromakenmerken van de variëteit. De druiven worden allemaal met de hand geplukt, zodat ze in optimale conditie bij de wijnmakerij aankomen.

    Het team vergist de most in roestvrij staal om de natuurlijke frisheid en aroma's te behouden, voordat de wijn bijna een jaar op de droesem rijpt. Ze rijpen ook een klein deel in gebruikte eikenhouten vaten om extra body en complexiteit toe te voegen. De uiteindelijke blend wordt dan gemaakt door de hoofdwijnmaker en de wijn wordt gebotteld met schroefdoppen om de schone en frisse nuances van de Riesling te behouden.
