Het aankoopproces en de productkeuze zijn goed, maar de bezorgservice met UPS is ellendig. Ik zal helaas niet meer kopen vanwege de bezorging door UPS die zich nooit aan datum/tijd houdt en een vals excuus geeft dat ze afwezig zijn terwijl ik er was en een vrije dag heb genomen om er te zijn.

    Artadi is vooral bekend om zijn uitzonderlijke en rijpe Rioja-wijnen, die worden begeerd door verzamelaars en wijnliefhebbers over de hele wereld. In 2015 begon het wijnhuis aan een nieuw project in de kustplaats Zarautz in Baskenland. Hier werkten ze samen met de ervaren lokale wijnboer Inaxio Manterola om 9,26 hectare inheemse Hondarrabi Zuri en Beltza druiven te bewerken die worden gebruikt om deze sensationele en ongewone mousserende wijn te maken.

    Deze regio is vooral bekend om zijn knapperige, frisse en licht bruisende Txakoli wijnen, en deze nieuwe expressie van Artadi interpreteert de traditionele stijl in een serieuzere en rijpere cuvee. De hoge zuurgraad van de druiven wordt getemd door de jonge wijn tweeënhalf jaar op fles te laten rijpen op de droesem, en er wordt geen dosering toegevoegd om het kurkdroge smaakprofiel te behouden.

    Citrus, groene appels en subtiele hints van witte bloesem bepalen de neus, terwijl de eerste slok een levendige zuurgraad, een lichte body en frisse smaken van boomgaardvruchten en zoet gebak onthult, eindigend in een zeer zuivere, schone afdronk. Een geweldige wijn om te serveren als ongewoon aperitief of bij verse zeevruchten, gegrilde vis of lichte voorgerechten.
